The Work Is Real. So Is the Need for Support.
What we do takes people, time and sustained commitment. We are a small team with a large mandate, and every form of support we receive is translated directly into impact on the ground.
There is a place in this work for almost anyone who cares about equity, education and reform.
Ways to Contribute
1 Skill Volunteering
You don’t need to be in the field to make a meaningful contribution. We actively need people with specific skills to help us work better and reach further.
Content and Communication
Write for us, photograph our work, create social media content that tells stories the numbers can’t capture. If you can make HDIRI more visible, you expand our ability to reach students and women who need us.
Technology and Digital
Help us maintain and improve our website, build digital tools for our scholarship tracking, or train our team in software that makes their field work easier.
Workshop and Curriculum Design
If you have experience designing learning programmes, we want your input for our digital skilling modules and student outreach events.
Outreach in Schools and Colleges
If you work in or around educational institutions in Mumbai, Pune or Ratnagiri, you can help us reach students early by spreading awareness.
2 On-Ground Volunteering
Some of our work simply requires more hands. If you are available to help during programme activities like managing logistics, assisting at events, supporting our team in the field: we welcome you.
We hold health camps, essay competitions, felicitation events, workshops and community outreach drives throughout the year. Your presence makes these run better.
3 Spread the Word
The students and women we serve often don’t know we exist. The most direct thing you can do is change that.
- Tell a student from an under served background about our scholarship support
- Share our work on social media with communities who need it
- Introduce us to teachers, principals, social workers or community leaders in your network
- If you’re connected to media, civil society or academia, help us build relationships that amplify our work
